Family Session in Chelsea

I received so many intense stares from this little one, and adored each one.

Sweet Brutus, the havanese wonderdog, never wanted to be left out of the fun.

Brutus clearly has a hard life.

It’s quite common for little kids to be drawn to my camera, and she was no exception. I showed her how to press the shutter button, and she loved the sound it produced. So I have quite the collection of close-ups from this session.

The family had a beautiful view from their Chelsea apartment, which she loved to take in.

It’s a good thing fingerprints can easily be cleaned off lenses.

Chicago Family in the Wilderness

I loved spending time with my dear friends and their super cute baby. It’s pretty rare that babies actually want to sit perfectly still and smile for a posed portrait, so I embrace the many faces and movements they make.

She loves yanking on mom’s hair

WHAT are these people doing to me?!

Mmmm… leaves. High in fiber, right?

UWS Family Chaos

When I enter a home for the first, I never know how the kids are going to react to me. Some will hide behind a parent’s legs, some will drag me to their playroom right away, while others will just stare, not yet sure what to make of me.

This little guy certainly loved to entertain his sister.

She watched me wherever I walked for the first part of this session.

Sweet Dog from PAWS NY

Sweet Annabell is so lovable to everyone who greets her. I loved watching her with her PAWS volunteer, and then providing comfort for her owner.

Nightly Routine on the Upper West Side

A nightly routine is a beautiful thing for a child to have with her parents. I was honored to witness this family’s special time with their daughter as they closed out the evening.

Happy Bolognese Dog with His Humans

I love seeing how happy dogs get when they’re around their humans. Lexus was no exception! I met everyone for a PAWS NY session, and it was quite clear that this dog lives a good life.

Excited Service Dog for PAWS NY

This is the third year I’ve worked with PAWS NY to help them put together a calendar for one of their fundraisers. It’s fun to be able to travel to different parts of city and meet all the lovely pets, clients, and volunteers. Trudy, the sweet service dog, was my first session earlier this spring. I met the volunteer outside the building, and was told that Trudy loved to greet him by jumping up the moment she was let out the door. She did not disappoint!

A Wintery UWS Family Exploration

An intense game of checkers was already in progress when I arrived that afternoon.

The relationship between animals and kids can be so special. Plus, I find it great that a small child is walking a dog that’s almost as tall as her.

There’s not a lot of serenity in their family walks, which makes them all the more fun.
